He’s a self-taught musician who has been writing music since the young age of twelve. In high school, he played in a post-hardcore band. This past August, he released his very first solo CD (which he played all of the instruments for), after strengthening his focus on song-writing, and the exploration of his softer-core style. He’s now in a band called Victory Lap, performing shows in Tallahassee and Tampa, Florida. | Nobody’s stopping Jordan James Esker any time soon.
His latest EP, just a few weeks young, is called “Sell All My Parts.” It’s a compilation of four songs, engineered and produced in the home of his roommate, Tallahassee DJ, Phil Nettle. What originally began as a purely acoustic album evolved as recording progressed, as Esker and Nettle experimented with different instrumentation, and new mediums. Their result: a respectable collection of beautiful tunes, perfect for those drives into the sunset.
